Beyond The 'Plugg' Sound: Who Is Tony Shhnow?

Tony Shhnow is the artist you didn't know you were missing on your playlist. His irregular delivery of monotone-talked lyrics over thumping beats is what draws you. California-born but Atlanta-raised, Tony's style might be similar to someone you've seen but unmatched for sure. Plugg beats, money counter sounds and a rampant flow is what you can expect from Tony. He adapts what we call the "Shhnow Effect" on all of his projects, retaining his audience with a one of one listening experience. The crux of his sound is his lyrical tussle with production. It sounds as if he's in the boxing ring with his beats, yet there is no struggle at all. This is apparent on fan favorites like "Her Favourite" and the Sparkheem produced single "Mind of a Crook", on which he navigates both beats beyond impressively.

His ability to bob and weave the beat while also attacking it, gives his discography a twofold identity. You might enjoy his music during a party, but you can also enjoy his sound during a chill night out with your boo. Its trap but it's not always violent or as gruesome as other rap music pouring out of Atlanta. It's more of a look-at-me-now energy that his music exudes. Actively being discovered by new listeners, Shhnow is growing his following by the second.

Tony's latest visual for the single 'Rule 5' is already at almost 4,000 views in a just a few days. Showing off even more of his talent, Shhnow has announced on Instagram a new self-produced project 'No One Else' set to release July 11th. Fans now anticipating the drop, they are spamming his comments with accolades like "what can't this man do" and "self prod is crazy". These reactions further cosign Tony's consistent growth as an artist/musician and all-around powerhouse. He is dedicated to winning at his own capacity, which we now know if much broader than we could have ever imagined.
