Maryland singer-songwriter Harlo X has been quieting down and letting her talent speak for itself, being 1 of 20 chosen from thousands to attend the 'No Label Academy' held at Harvard University. A 10-day music business intensive, curated by Maryland rapper IDK and an all-star team of creatives. From incarceration to becoming one the largest growing independent artists, a crash course for other rising artists was deemed necessary by IDK. Having access to greater resources per his current status, IDK was able to give these Harlo and 19 others an opportunity of a lifetime.
The singer received cool merchandise from course sponsors Nike, Jordan, Converse, Guess, Logitech and IDK's label 'Clue'. The intensive opened the 24 year-old's mind about self investment as an independent artist. Harlo learned about budgeting, split sheet investments, growing a fan base, building a professional team, mental health maintenance and more. The young artist also got to channel creative vibes alongside Young Guru, an esteemed producer of Jay Z's. Following the course, Harlo was granted an opportunity to interview with one of the sponsors, Logitech. View more photos from Harlo's experience at the 'No Label Academy' on her Instagram @harlo_x.
