NoSavage - 'Life of a Savage 2' [ALBUM REVIEW]

They say the original is better than the sequel but not in this case! No Savage dropped his highly anticipated sophomore album 'Life of a Savage 2' on all major DSP's today. 18 tracks of melodic, forthright lyrics over guitars and pianos that we love. More expressive about women on this project, we are introduced to some of the rapper's lovey-dovey side. Savage shares these lovey-dovey feels on tracks like "I Dont Know" and "Cry Baby". On tracks like "Smoke", "Wickin" and "Wop He Up", his usual energized but dark flow shows up.

Artists like Shy Glizzy and No Cap appear on the album. We mainly hear production from Jourdan, a long time friend and engineer to the artist. Some favorites from Life of a Savage 2 are "Gifted", "Believing In Me", "I Dont Know", "More and More", "Drip Flow 2" and "Wop He Up". The previously released single "Reaper" is featured on the project. Our interest piques at the Southeast rapper's creative process as we see tremendous growth in his sound and delivery.

Though this is only the Dedication rapper's second project, his journey in music has been nothing short of inspirational for other rising artists in the city. His numbers undoubtedly reflect the amount of work he's put into perfecting his sound and keeping it original. We await more visuals for the album, which have not yet been mentioned.
